How Phoenix Service Works

Phoenix endeavours to ensure that any equipment supplied by it that malfunctions or becomes inoperable is restored to the working condition as soon as possible. The Phoenix Service Team’s objectives include attending satisfactorily to any service call within 72 hours and closing breakdown calls with just one visit. Phoenix Service is responsible for ensuring that preventive maintenance operations are carried out according to schedule and for replacing DOA (acronym for ‘dead on arrival’) equipment on an emergency basis. DOA refers to new equipment that is found to be damaged or non-working on unpacking.

Phoenix has a toll-free number that can be called for service requests. <begin emphasise in a small box>Phoenix toll-free number: 1800-425-3503</end emphasise in a small box> The name, address and telephone number of the customer, the model number of the equipment, its serial number and whether it is under a warranty or maintenance contract are the details noted in addition to the nature of the problem. Once a call request is logged, Phoenix Service locates the closest service engineer to attend to the work. If the customer location is remote or far away from all engineers in the field, the customer is called back and informed about the likely date and time of arrival of an engineer.

If a call cannot be closed within Phoenix’s time limits for any reason such as the unavailability of a spare, the matter is escalated to the Service Manager. Any unusual technical faults are also escalated to the Service Manager. The Quality Team is also informed, and they take the necessary remedial actions immediately. Preventive action is carried out simultaneously.

Early warning feedbacks are part of the service process. Any feedback received is communicated directly to the Service Manager and to the Quality Control team at Phoenix for corrective and preventive action (CAPA).
